Our fourth team of SG Düsseldorf Unterrath can look back on an extremely successful season. After already celebrating the league title in the previous campaign, we entered the S1 NRW season with high ambitions once again and fully lived up to them.
With consistently strong performances throughout the season, we deservedly secured second place in the league standings. Particularly remarkable was our impressive record: we suffered only two defeats, both against the eventual league champions from Schwarz Weiß Düsseldorf. In all other matches, we impressed with team spirit, determination, and high-quality performances on court.
This top placement once again confirms the development we have made over the past few years and shows that we have successfully established ourselves among the top teams in the league.
Looking ahead to the upcoming season, however, changes are on the horizon. Due to the formation of a new district league team, several key players will no longer be available for our squad. As a result, the team will need to reorganize itself. At the same time, this also creates opportunities for other players to take on more responsibility and continue their development.
Despite these changes, we remain optimistic and are excited to see how our team will perform in its new constellation.
